I am the LeRoy Neiman Term Chair Professor of Sociology at the University of California, Los Angeles, and a former co-editor of American Sociological Review and chair of the American Sociology Assocition’s Section for the Sociology of Culture. I am current member of the Sociological Research Association and the Board of Reviewing Editors of the journal Science. I also serve as an associate editor for the journal Discover Data.
I study culture, cognition, networks, theory, consumption, institutions, and organization.
